A new trust fund titled “LG Life’s Good Trust Fund for Physically Challenged Students” has been set up at the University of Dhaka (DU).  Managing Director of LG Electronics, Bangladesh Edward Kim handed over a cheque for Tk. 10 lac to DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin today, March 21, 2017 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to set up this trust fund.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science Prof. Farid Uddin Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr.  Pradip Kumar Roy and Acting Registrar             Md. Enamuzzaman were present, among others, on this occasion.

Out of the income of this donation, every year seven physically challenged students of DU will be awarded “LG Life’s Good Trust Fund Scholarship”.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the donor for his donation. He hoped that the physically challenged students of DU would be highly benefited from this donation.

It may be mentioned that LG Electronics is a South Korea based multinational company.
