Thirty ninemeritorious students of different departments under the Faculty of Artsof Dhaka University (DU) have been awardedCentenary Trust Fund Scholarship. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamaldistributed scholarships among the students aschief guest at a functionheld todayNovember 28, 2023atNababNawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhabanauditorium of the university.

DU Treasurer Prof. MamtazUddin Ahmed presided over the function whileDean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abdul Basir was present asspecial guest. Chairman of History Department Prof. Dr. Abu Md. DelwarHossain and Chairman of Bangla Department Prof Dr. FatemaKawser also spoke on this occasion. DU registrar Probir Kumar Sarker conducted the function.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamalcongratulated the recipients of the scholarship and said,success of the studentwho obtains outstanding result is being recognized by awarding scholarship.  Students will be inspired by such type ofscholarship, he hoped.He urged the students to equip themselves with knowledge and contribute to the development of the country.
