Malaysian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Ms.Haznah Md Hashim paid a courtesy call onDhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal today February 18, 2024 at the latter’s office of the university. She was accompanied by Dean of the Faculty of Language and Communication of the University of Pendidikan Sultan Idris Prof. Mazura Mastura Muhammad and Head of Chancery of the High Commission Mr Anis Wajdi Mohd Yusof.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs among the University of Dhaka and higher educational institutions in Malaysia. The possibilities of publication of research journal jointly by Dhaka University and University of Pendidikan Sultan Idris as well as exchange of teachers and students among DU and different Malaysian universities were also discussed in the meeting.

Malaysian High Commissioner said, bilateral friendly relationship between Bangladesh and Malaysia has been prevailing for long time. These friendly ties between the two countries will be further strengthened in the days to come, she hoped.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the High Commissioner for her visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.

Later, Malaysian High Commissioner visited the Centre of Malay Studies at the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University.
