The Graduation Ceremony of BBA 27th batch, MBA 63rd batch, EMBA and DBA programs of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University (DU) was held yesterday, May 4, 2024 at a city hotel. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal attended it as chief guest.
Director of IBA Prof. Mohammad Abdul Momen presided over the function while Senior Fellow of Harvard Kennedy School Iqbal Quadir attended it as the Graduation Speaker. The function was also addressed, among others, by IBA Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Kabir.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal said, DU has long held IBA in high esteem, recognizing it as a bastion of academic brilliance and forward-thinking innovation. With steadfast dedication, IBA continues to cultivate exceptional graduates who are not only knowledgeable, but also exhibit vital attributes like critical thinking, creativity and ethical leadership which are essential for navigating the complexities of our evolving global landscape.
Terming IBA graduates as the torchbearers of the future DU VC urged them to play a pivotal role to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Bangladesh.
DU VC further said, as ambassador of our nation’s dreams and aspirations, it is expected that IBA graduates will give their best efforts towards achieving the SDGs by 2030 and forwarding Bangladesh to the status of a developed nation by 2041 as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the proud daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He thanked the graduates for completion of their respective program successfully.
A total of 215 students of different batches of IBA were awarded degree in the ceremony.
