Four meritorious students of the Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded ‘Khondkar Lutfi Rabbani-Nazmun Nesa Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship’ for their outstanding academic performances in MS examinations. The recipients of the scholarships are Safia Akhter Deepa, Md. Shariful Islam, Md. Sohag Ali and Md. Amimul Ihsan. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal distributed scholarships among the recipients as the chief guest at a function held today 07 July 2024 at VC’s Lounge of the university.

DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Donor of the trust fund Prof. Dr. Khondkar Siddique-e-Rabbani, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, some faculty members and donor’s family members were present on this occasion.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal urged the students to become worthy citizen of the country and perform social duties with responsibilities. He also called upon them to pay respect to their parents. Dhaka University authorities have taken adequate initiative to bring the financially challenged students under the social safety network by giving scholarship. We want to improve their livelihood as well as make them responsible citizen, he added. He sought cooperation and support from alumni of the university in this regard. The VC paid glowing tributes to the memory of late Khondkar Lutfi Rabbani and Nazmun Nesa. He congratulated the recipients of the scholarships for their brilliant academic results.
