A new trust fund titled ‘Hosne Ara Haider Quraishi Trust Fund’ has been established at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (ISWR) of Dhaka University (DU). Former students of the Institute Md. Ali Haider Quraishi and Hosne Ara Begum handed over a cheque for Tk. 10 lac to DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today October 01, 2024 at the VC’s Lounge of the university to set up this trust fund. Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was present as chief guest on this occasion.

Professor of ISWR Dr. Mahbuba Sultana and donor’s family members were present on this occasion.

Out of the income of this trust fund every year 8 students of DU Institute of Social Welfare and Research will be given scholarship.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan thanked donors for setting up this trust fund. Such type of initiative will play an effective role to strengthen communication and relationship between Dhaka University and Alumni of this university, he hoped.
