In a landmark achievement, the team from Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS) clinched the national championship at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2023. The team, comprising Helal Morshed Omiyo, Maruf Hasan Tamal, Oishe Rahman, and Rafid Azad Saumik, excelled with Rahman and Saumik winning Best and Second-Best Oralist awards respectively, alongside the team's Second-Best Memorial distinction.
At the White & Case International Rounds in Washington, D.C., they broke new ground by becoming the first Bangladeshi team to reach the top 48 Advanced Rounds. Their applicant memorial ranked in the world's top 10, setting a new benchmark for Bangladesh in international legal advocacy events.
