Mahnaz Rahman serves as a lecturer in the Department of Dance at the University of Dhaka, specialising in Bharatanatyam Classical dance. Having been a part of the inaugural batch (Session 2014–2015) of the Department of Dance, University of Dhaka, she has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, earning both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with outstanding grades. Mahnaz's dedication to her craft has been recognized through prestigious accolades such as the Dean’s Award for Excellence in her postgraduate studies and the Dean’s Award of Merit during her undergraduate tenure.

Throughout her academic journey, Mahnaz has showcased her talents on both domestic and international platforms, representing the University of Dhaka with distinction. Her professional interests encompass a wide array of topics, including dance education and careers in Bangladesh, innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, creative expression, and cultural studies.
