The Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nessa Center for Gender and Development Studies hosted the Bangamata Memorial Women’s Art Exhibition 2024 to highlight women's advancements despite their challenges.
The topics included gender, power, social change, women in the digital economy, unpaid labor, science and technology, climate change, gender justice, and unsung female heroes. The exhibition provided a platform for women artists to showcase their work in both digital and traditional media.
The center received numerous artistic submissions for the exhibition. A selection of the finest pieces was showcased on March 13th at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka.
