Shahid Athlet Sultana Kamal Hostel is a residential hostel for the female students of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology, University of Dhaka. It is situated at the campus of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology, 44-50, Hazaribagh, Dhaka-1209. It is a four-storied building where about 120 students are to be accommodated. The hostel was inaugurated officially on December 1, 2016. The hostel was named “Shahid Athlet Sultana Kamal Hostel” according to the name Shahid Athlet Sultana Kamal, the elder daughter-in-law of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The hostel remembered and mourned the brutal murder of the father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at National Mourning Day (August 15). The hostel offered respect and homage to the sacred souls of the martyr's at Intellectual’s Martyr Day (December 14) and Victory Day (December 16), International Mother Language Day (February 21), Independence Day (March 26), with due respect and solemnity.
There are a library and a study room in the hostel where different books on Leather, Footwear and Leather Products Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, etc. are available. There is a spacious TV room for entertainment and enjoyment.
