Md Rafiqul Islam Ph.D. is teaching as a Professor at the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mr. Islam completed his Bachelor degree in Political Science, and Masters and MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has also completed his MA degree in Environmental Security and Peace from the Un-University for Peace, Costa Rica. Mr. Islam holds his Ph.D. from Flinders University, Australia. His primary research interest includes peace, conflict, democracy, and development. Mr. Islam has a keen interest in global politics, security, and peace issues. He has been teaching international human rights and humanitarian law, and international politics in the Department for several years. Mr. Islam’s Ph.D. thesis has been selected for the John Lewis Silver Medal in South Australia.
