Ms. Nahida Sultana, a distinguished alumna of the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, joined as a faculty member in the MIS department marks a significant transition in her academic career.
Ms. Sultana, a former student of the 6th batch of the Department of MIS, exhibited her commitment and passion for the field. She earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the same department, showcasing excellent academic performance. Throughout her academic years, she excelled, securing 1st place in both her BBA and MBA degrees. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded some prestigious accolades such as – the Dean’s Honor Award, Maitree Foundation Merit Scholarship, Graduate and Post-graduate scholarship, etc.
Prior to her joining at MIS Department, Ms. Nahida Sultana served as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration at Bangladesh University, and a Lecturer at the BBA professionals in Adamjee Cantonment College. Overall, she brought about more than six years of teaching experience. Ms. Sultana, an aspirant learner and educator pursuing knowledge in the field of Management Information Systems (MIS), is continually engaged in research-based activities. Her research interests are around broader business issues; however, she has a concentration in information systems, Industry 4.0, Supply Chain 4.0, FinTech, and E-Business. Moreover, she has published in diverse high-impact journals, including Q1 and Q2, such as Heliyon, Technology in Society, and Cogent Business and Management. She has written more than 10 research-based articles, which are published in national and international journals, and conferences. Additionally, she presented her work at a national conference hosted by the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, as well as an international conference organized by the University of Malaya in Malaysia.
