International Seminar on Disaster Management and Community Resilience using Technological Interventions – 2019 (30.11.2019 to 01.12.2019) The 3rd Disaster Management and Community Resilience seminar gave a global platform to discuss and learn about catalysts, causes and aftermath of natural disasters, disaster management, risk reduction strategies and community resilience in South-Asia from multi-faceted approach. This was a jointly organized by Department of Disaster Science and Management, University of Dhaka with support from Oxfam (NGO) along with Monash University of Australia. It became a platform for researchers to present their original works in front of a community comprised of High Govt. officials, NGO representatives and representatives of scientific community, along with students from several disciplines and participants from several countries such as Japan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. The themes were - Disaster Management, Community Resilience, Climate Change Adaptation, Technologies for Disaster Risk Reduction and Multi-Disciplinary Approach.
