Julian Francis
Julian Francis is the Principal Adviser at Abunx and has been deeply engaged with the progress and development of Bangladesh since the Liberation War of 1971. His career has primarily focused on poverty alleviation, particularly addressing challenges related to social protection for disabled individuals, disaster preparedness, and relief work. Julian’s lifelong contributions to Bangladesh have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the “Friends of Liberation War Honour” by the Government of Bangladesh in 2012 for his work with refugees in India during 1971. He was granted full Bangladesh citizenship in 2018, and in 2019, he was awarded the British OBE for “services to development in Bangladesh.” After years of living and working in Bangladesh, Julian considers the country his home and regularly shares his insights, hopes, and aspirations through various media platforms.
Mostafijur Rahman (Shohag Mostafij)
Mostafijur Rahman, popularly known as Shohag Mostafij, is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Abunx. He is an author, business strategist, and dynamic facilitator with over a decade of experience. Mostafijur has held senior positions in seven international organizations, including serving as the CEO of McAndrew Leadership, Business Development & Quality Director at Oxfam, Global Proposal Development Manager at VSO, and Program Manager at Save the Children. He holds an MBA with a major in Strategic and International Management and a BBA in Management Studies from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, he has pursued studies in Development Management in the Philippines and Human Rights in Belgium through scholarships from the ADB and the Belgian Government. Mostafijur advocates for a mindset of abundance, creativity, and problem-solving as the key to success in both business and life.
