Two Scholarships have been distributed among 04 undergraduate students of CSEDU
07 October, 2024: On October 7, 2024, during the Academic Committee meeting of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka, a special scholarship awarding ceremony took place in the presence of the Professor Dr. Upama Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and other academic committee members. The ceremony honored four financially disadvantaged but academically meritorious students of CSEDU from the 2022-2023 academic session.
Two students, Sonia Akter and Md. Akram Khan, were each awarded the Drs Muhammad Harunur and Fatema Rashid Scholarship, receiving BDT 12,500. This scholarship, provided by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, aims to support students with outstanding academic performance who face financial difficulties.
Additionally, two other students, H.M. Mehedi Hasan and Swapon Chandra Roy, were awarded the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Scholarship, with each receiving BDT 18,000. These scholarships aim to assist students in concentrating on their studies and alleviating financial challenges.
The Chairman of the CSE Department expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to Professor Dr. Upama Kabir for her continued support in facilitating these scholarships. He also expressed his hope that the scholarships would motivate the recipients to strive for even better academic results in the future.
This initiative reflects the Faculty of Engineering and Technology's commitment to recognizing and supporting the academic achievements of students, especially those facing financial challenges, and fostering an environment that encourages academic success and growth.
