A study tour was successfully organized on January 18, 2025, with the participation of faculty and students from the Department of History of Art, University of Dhaka. The tour included visits to the Maynamati Museum, Shalban Bihar and the Bijoypur Rudrapal Pottery Cooperative Society Ltd in Cumilla.
The objective of the tour was to promote interactive learning by combining the study of historical artifacts with hands-on experiences. At the Maynamati Museum and Shalban Bihar, participants explored archaeological relics and ancient structures, gaining valuable insights into Bangladesh's cultural and historical legacy.
A significant highlight of the tour was the visit to the Bijoypur Rudrapal Pottery Cooperative Society, where participants not only observed the traditional pottery-making process but also engaged directly in crafting pottery. The skilled artisans of Bijoypur, showcased their techniques and shared the stories behind their work. This session also shedding light on the invaluable contributions of local artisans to Bangladesh’s cultural heritage.
By bridging theoretical knowledge with practical engagement, the tour created a meaningful and enriching experience for all.
