CSEDU students attended a very informative workshop on User Experience (UX) at Grameenphone house
1 hour UX - An Interactive Session at GP House
On 13 May 2024, being invited by Grameenphone Academy, an online learning platform designed for university students, 48 students from all batches of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering attended a very informative workshop on User Experience (UX) at their headquarters in Baridhara. Around 300 students from the top universities of Dhaka attended the workshop.
The students started their journey via bus from the department premises at 9.00 am and were welcomed by the Grameenphone team at their office in due time. The session started with a welcome speech by Md. Solaiman Alam, Chief Digital Officer of GrameenPhone. The Lead UX Designer of the customer favorite MyGP app Ashraful Alam taught the Masterclass. The class was very interactive and gave many useful insights to the students on how to build a career in UX. The session ended with a short introduction to GrameenPhone’s new app store AppCity. The students were encouraged to build applications to solve local problems and publish them there.
After the session, there was a photo session with the instructors followed by lunch. The students then returned to the department via bus.
This visit to a technology company and getting to interact with industry experts will leave a lasting impression on the students of our department and will encourage them to improve their skills.
